Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is located on the central part of Singapore, encompassing approximately 400 acres of primary rainforest. It is home to Bukit Timah Hill, Singapore's highest natural point at 163.63 meters above sea level. The reserve is renowned for its rich biodiversity, housing over 500 species of animals and about 840 species of flowering plants. Established in 1883, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is one of the first forest reserves in Singapore. It serves as a critical space for conservation and research while providing Singaporeans and visitors a place for recreation and nature appreciation. Key attractions include hiking trails that lead through dense forest and provide opportunities to spot wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, Sunda pangolins, and a myriad of bird species.
